Bowdoin College is located on the coast of Maine, 26 miles from Portland. Brunswick is a quaint town of 20,000 people, with cobblestone streets and many restaurants that are friendly to students. Bowdoin owns Orr Island, 13 miles away on the coast, where students frequently participate in geology and marine research.
